Skin Rejuvenation

WRINKLES to the face and neck are common concerns for many. Wrinkles or loose skin of the abdomen, arms, thighs are also troubling especially after pregnancy. The GentleMAXPro™ laser penetrates the skin surface targeting collagen to promote and stimulate the production of new collagen which softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

There’s no down time with this treatment and you may apply makeup and return to your normal activity although we do recommend you protect your self from sun exposure. Results are seen generally after the 2nd or 3rd treatment and your collagen will continue to grow for 6 months after your last treatment. We recommend a series of 4 to 6 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.

Skin Rejuvenation FAQs

Many patients feel that they are able to see improvement after the third treatment. This is highly variable and will depend on your own factors and how well you take care of your skin. For this reason, we recommend a daily skin care program, the daily use of sunscreen, and certain common sense behavior (limiting alcohol consumption, not smoking, etc) that will limit your body’s ability to produce collagen. You will continue to see results for 6 months after your last treatment.

Because everyone’s tolerance for pain is different, we cannot make any guarantees. You might feel some slight discomfort that is momentary, but it subsides quickly and you will be able to resume normal activity immediately. There is no downtime associated with this procedure.

The use of sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) is advised with this procedure. It is also recommended that you employ a daily skin care regimen. If you would like assistance with one, our skin care consultants will be happy to assist you. You may resume normal activity (including make-up, etc) immediately.

In general, the best way to maintain your results is to protect your skin and keep it healthy with a daily skin care program. Protecting it from the harmful effects of the sun, nicotine, and alcohol are also a very good idea. Many patients come in for an annual touch-up treatment for maintenance purposes. It is not necessary to repeat the initial series of treatments; generally one or two sessions per year is sufficient.
